Letter from the Editor

Our eyes met across a crowded room. As I pushed past the bulging crowd I was worried she would be gone before I got to her. Who was that beautiful girl, with the milky skin and memorizing eyes? Suddenly the crowd broke. There she was and she was gorgeous! Her name was Sara. Volks SD Sara.

How many other people have a story like this? Do you remember the first time you saw one of those gorgeous faces? Many people are now meeting their first dolls on the internet via gorgeous pictures thanks to the talents of many collectors. Some of us are lucky enough to encounter a beauty in the flesh (or resin ;) at a convention or show. However you meet them, they are truly alluring.

Welcome to Dollicieux, an ezine devoted strictly to Asian style Ball and Joint Dolls (BJDs). We hope to entertain you and share information over the coming months. Dollicieux was born when it occurred to me that it would be wonderful to have a magazine dedicated to these fabulous dolls. Unfortunately, magazines cost a lot to produce but after some thought and work we were able to produce an online version - our Dollicieux ezine. I want to thank all the wonderful people that have helped get this premier issue off the ground. You know who you are! It took much longer than we thought, but it was well worth it. I hope you enjoy the ezine.

We will be publishing monthly and all issues will be archived for later access. Please take the time to subscribe to be notified of new issues and special offers. We will have standard sections, such as the fashion file and the spotlight which will appear in each issue as well as rotating features. We have many exciting plans for the future and of course, look forward to suggestions from our readers.

This letter is the final step before we "go live". I have the same sense of excitement tonight as I did the day my eyes met across that room with Sara's. I truly hope you enjoy Dollicieux and I look forward to many more issues.

   Sincerely
   Melissa
