Feature - The Dollicieux Photo Contest

Enfin! The Dollicieux crew is so happy to finally be able to offer our first photo contest. We're really looking forward to the entries and participation by Dollicieux readers. We're hoping that every subscriber will enter. This contest is for every person that has a camera. Even if you feel you aren't the best photographer, there has to be a photo you're particularly proud of. We all get one of those perfect shots.

Details
The contest will run for two months to allow for as many entries as possible. Entries will be accepted until December 27th 2005. Judging will be conducted by a panel of BJD lovers. Winners will be announced in the January Issue.

The categories are:
Outdoor - Anywhere outside in any kind of weather
To Scale - Your angels with props that are to scale (items and/or dolly rooms)
Story Time - A photo illustration of a book, nursery rhyme, fairy tale etc.
Friends & Family - Photos that capture the essence of "togetherness"

Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place winners in each category. Full list of prizes will be announced in November and December's Issues, but just to tease you, a sneak peek at two prizes:

Some Rules
1) This goes without saying, but just to be clear, photos must be your own. You cannot enter someone else's photo in their name or enter some else's photo as your own.
2) Second rule that probably goes without saying but the subject of the photo must be an asian style ball and joint doll.
3) Please be sure to include your name, the title of your photograph, and the category it is being entered in.
4) Photos must be in jpg, tif, or png format. Send the highest quality image possible. It is much easier to make an image smaller than it is to make it bigger.
5) Do not watermark, add decorative borders or place any other distinguishing marks (i.e. name, copyright) on the image because the judging is an anonymous affair, an image cannot possess identifiable information.
6) Zipped or compressed (i.e. zip, dmg, rar, etc.) files will not be accepted. straight image files only please.
7) Photos remain the property of the photographer. By entering the photographer consents to having their photo published in Dollicieux.
8) You may submit no more than two photos per category.
